My interest in photography has come into play over the last five years and after taking thousands of photos, I’ve discovered my passion is nature and taking close-up or macro shots. It’s amazing what you see once the photos have been downloaded to a computer, for example, the hairs on the ant’s chin, I didn’t notice those when I took the photo. Many people see the big picture but focusing close up gives you an insight into another world. These photos were taken around our yard with my Konica Minolta and there is always a subject to be noticed. I also use my photos to create cards for family and friends and it’s great to hear their comments when they find out I’ve taken the photo as it makes the giving and receiving more personal. I now have a new camera and already I’ve noticed a difference in the results and look forward to more colourful and interesting photos.
