Ready to feel disarmed and invigorated all at once? Enter Om Rituals, home of Roots & Roses Apothecary, located in a studio space at The Kube in Gibsons. Chloe Mckinnon, owner and operator, aka The Tea Lady, is “such a calming and inspiring presence,” says one of her studio mates.

Influenced by her move to the Sunshine Coast three years ago, landing on a hobby farm and given her own garden to tend (plus some heartfelt guidance), Chloe took a herbal medicine-making course. In this time she also took a trip to Bali, Indonesia, and experienced an openness with the people there. She saw that a life steeped in devotion and connection to the divine, or nature as she would call it, is “a life lived with simplicity, honour, and beauty.”

In the Apothecary you will find a variety of “healthy teas that taste good.” Unique to her Essential Elements Collection, each blend has a special note on the benefits of the plants in relationship to an organ of the body. All blends are hand-mixed with organic herbs. You will also find bulk herbs, garden smudge bouquets made from home-grown plants and flowers, herbal-infused essential oil blends, bath botanicals, and medicine bundles that include rituals designed to “soften the heart and soothe the soul.”

Om Rituals offers an assortment of services, including plant-based workshops at The Kube Studios, tea ceremonies for “practising presence by sharing tea in a meditative manner,” and Ayurvedic head massage—warm Roots & Roses essential oils massaged into the scalp to release tension and blockages in the head, neck, and face.

Chloe has grown her business from the ground up and continues to develop a naturally sensual product line. Through Om Rituals, Chloe extends the invitation to attune to your innate wisdom and build wellness from within. Chloe’s deepest intention is to re-ignite the art of devotion by connecting people with plants
